Our Product Commitment

At pūr alternatives, we believe that everyone should have easy access to toxin-free products. We believe that you shouldn't have to carefully read every label of every product in order to know which ones are safe for your family. When someone walks into our store they will know that we have already done that for them.

We're committed to providing chemical free alternatives for the whole family. We will not carry products that contain ingredients harmful to you or to the environment.  Products must be sustainable, 100% cruelty-free, and they will not contain anything even suspected of causing harm or irritation. We will be compiling a list of the main ingredients we avoid and why we avoid them in the near future.

To the best of our ability we will not sell products contaminated with harmful by-products including, but not limited to, 1,4-dioxane. Unfortunately, the presence of by-products can only be discovered through lab testing and without the ability to do the tests ourselves, some things may slip by. For example, Phthalates can only be detected though chemical analysis. Also, as new information becomes available, we will better understand the safety of ingredients used in our products, and will phase out products or bring in new products as necessary. We will always be looking for more products that fit our standards, so that our customers will have a wide selection of products to choose from that are also toxic free alternatives that work. We will give preference to products produced locally where possible, though this will be secondary to our commitment to ingredient safety.
